"We loved the cottage and fell in love with the area. We especially loved the walk from Craster to Dunstanburgh Castle, Alnwick Castle & Gardens and the beaches at Sugar Sands and Embleton - the pubs also proved irresistible, too many to mention but the Red Lion in Alnmouth. Absolutely brilliant cottage. It is a great base for all the attractions and I woud recommend Billy Shiel Farne Island boat trip which was sensational. "A wonderful week despite the floods nearby! The cottage is wonderful - as good as we've seen, and we've seen many. Highlights: Alnwick Garden (spend a day and take waterproofs for the children), view of Dunstanburgh Castle from Low Newton, sea view from the upstairs shower! "Such a comfortable cottage, we felt right at home from the start. We've spent many days walking the beaches and seen gannets diving, kestrels and merlins on the dunes and porpoises swimming up the coast. Never made it to the Fishing Boat Inn as I think the opening times are only a guideline! We will return, as after 2 weeks we still didn't make it to the National Park" Steve & Andrea - Brighton
